Ohio Nurse Practitioner Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens, PRN (part-time, contract)
• Healthcare Setting: In-home clinical visits (travel required, up to 120 miles/day)
• Location: Butler County, Ohio (based in New Miami, 45013) – Cincinnati area healthcare jobs
• Shifts per Week: 5 (minimum 4 full days/month required; weekday coverage preferred)
• Shift Duration: Part-Time (8-hour field days, flexible start between 7:00–8:00 AM)
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• Assignment Length: Ongoing, PRN basis
• Travel Requirements: Over 50% (county-based, not facility-based)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $480–$560

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Ohio
• Board Certification (ANCC, AANP, or AACN) as AGNP, FNP, ENP, or ACNP
• Minimum 1 year of NP clinical experience (independent practice required; new grads not accepted)
• Comfortable with solo travel to patient homes in rural, urban, and suburban areas
• Strong commitment to patient care and adaptability to changing schedules and environments
• Availability for at least 4 full days per month (preferably Monday–Friday)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Professional appearance: business attire or dark-colored scrubs (no lab coat required)

Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Perform annual in-home health risk assessments for geriatric patients
• Conduct comprehensive physical exams, medication reviews, and evaluate social/environmental factors
• Complete basic labs (e.g., A1C, fit tests); no blood draws required
• Document clinical assessments using a provided tablet; submit same-day for quality review
• Travel daily to member homes within a 60-mile radius (routes optimized for efficiency)
• Adapt to logistical challenges such as no-shows, cancellations, and route changes
• Maintain high quality scores and adhere to all compliance and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with the clinical services team for support and feedback
